Large Intestine Cancer disease and tips on how to treat

Description:
Large intestine is the part of the digestive system to store food waste. While the rectum is the end of the colon near the anus. Both are long tubular called the large intestine. Tumors of the colon and rectum is the growth arising from the inner wall of the colon. Benign tumors of the colon called polyps. Whereas malignant tumors of the colon is called cancer.

Benign polyps do not invade nearby tissue or spread to other parts of the body. Benign polyps can be easily removed during colonoscopy and are not life-threatening. If benign polyps are not removed from the colon, polyps can become malignant (cancerous) from time to time. Most colon cancers develop from polyps believed. Colon and rectum (also referred to as colorectal cancer) can invade and destroy surrounding tissue intestines and other organs. Cancer cells can also break away and spread to other parts of the body (such as the liver and lungs) to form new tumors.

Treatment:
Surgery is the most common treatment for colon cancer. During surgery, the tumor, a small portion of the intestines of healthy surrounding, and adjacent lymph nodes will be cut. Surgeon then connects the intestines of healthy. In patients with anal cancer, rectum would be cut permanently.

Prevention:
Colon cancer can be prevented by changing habits to consume excessive fat foods that contain high fiber. The main sources of fat such as meat, eggs, dairy products, salad dressings, and oils used in cooking should be reduced. As balancing, fruits and vegetables, and whole wheat breads and cereals contain fiber should be consumed. Please note that the high fiber in the diet cause the formation of large dirt that can get rid of carcinogens.
