Pinguecula disease And Treating Tips

Description
Pinguecula is a common condition of non-cancerous growth of the mucous membrane lining the eyeball and lower eyelid (conjunctival). The cause is unknown, but chronic sunlight and eye irritation may affect the development of this disease.

Symptom
In a small pinguecula yellowish spots appear on the conjunctiva near the cornea.

Treatment
Usually no treatment is required. Lubrication by artificial tears, and sometimes temporary use of mild steroid eye drops can help.
