Description
Deficiency syndrome caused failure of maternal affection develops in children. The failness refers to the failure of the developing baby gain enough weight, body growth failure, and failure to reach the stage of development. There is no linear growth (declining growth chart)
Lack of appropriate hygiene
Problem of interaction between mother and child
Weight less than 5th percentile, or the number of inadequate weight loss
Treatment
Treatment failure to thrive in infants due to lack of care from a primary responsibility which requires input from a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nutritionists, social workers, behavioral specialists, and nurses.
Many programs available for young parents, single parents, and parents who have other problems. Referrals should be made as early as possible to appropriate programs. Helping family members acknowledged that there is a problem and provide increased support for mothers and babies is one way to resolve the issue.
