Sex Myths About Pregnancy

Many myths about sex and pregnancy are widely circulated in the community, and regarded as true. Because it is considered correct, then the sexual behavior is also influenced and following the wrong information in accordance with that myth.

1. Should be frequent
One myth that circulated widely in the community is that sexual relations must often be done during pregnancy, so the baby in the uterus can grow lush and healthy. The reason, then having sexual intercourse with a spray of baby's sperm so that flourish and become a normal and healthy baby. And not a few married couples who seek to frequent sexual intercourse during pregnancy with the goal of keeping the baby is normal and healthy.

Though the assumption is not true at all. There is no longer a relationship between sperm with babies in the womb. Also there is no relationship between sperm and the baby's growth. That is, if you become pregnant during sexual intercourse, the cells became fertile and healthy babies in the womb is not affected by the presence or absence of sperm that came in during pregnancy. The truth is, the quality of sperm cells that successfully fertilize an egg cell that affect the health of the pregnancy occurred.

2. Right & Left positions
Another myth linking sexual positions with gender of the baby to be born. It is said that if the position of men when sexual intercourse begins from the left and ends on the right, then the baby boy to be born. Conversely, when the sexual relationship began from the right side and ends on the left side, then the baby girl will be born. Of course, this information is wrong and irrational, because baby's gender is not determined by the position of men when sexual intercourse. Baby's sex is determined by the type of successful sperm cells fertilize the egg. If the sperm containing X chromosomes fertilize the egg, the baby girl will be formed. If the sperm with Y chromosomes fertilize the egg, will be formed baby boy. But it was not a few people who believe the myth that and do it.

3. Allow at least in touch
Other assumptions are also false but widely circulated in the community is that sexual relations should not be made so as not to disturb the baby's development. This assumption is not correct, because there is no reason that would interfere with sexual development of infants.

Conversely there is another assumption which states that sexual intercourse does not cause any effect on pregnancy, so that may be performed as before. This assumption is also not always true, depending on the condition of pregnancy.
