Retrograde ejaculation disease and tips to treat

Description
Although able to reach climax during intercourse, patients with retrograde ejaculation very little or do not produce semen. Therefore this type of ejaculation is called a dry orgasm. Retrograde ejaculation is not harmful, but can cause male infertility.

Retrograde ejaculation can be caused by medications, health conditions or surgeries that affect the nerves or muscles that control the bladder opening. If retrograde ejaculation is caused by drugs, stopping the drug may be effective treatment.

In normal conditions when the male orgasm, the sperm is released from each testicle. From each testis, the sperm then travels through a tube called the vas deferens. The vas deferens leads to the prostate, where the sperm mixed with semen. Muscle at the opening of the bladder (bladder neck) tightened to prevent the semen into the bladder as it passes into the tube in the penis (urethra). This is the same muscle that apply urine in the bladder until urination. With retrograde ejaculation, bladder neck muscles are not tightened properly. As a result, the sperm can enter the bladder instead of pushed out of the body through the penis.

Some conditions that can cause problems with muscles that close the bladder during ejaculation, among others:
- Operations such as in bladder neck surgery or prostate surgery
- The side effects of certain medications used to treat high blood pressure, prostate enlargement and mood disorders
- Nerve damage caused by medical conditions such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury

Symptom
Retrograde ejaculation does not affect the ability for the erection or having an orgasm - but when reaching the climax, the sperm into the bladder instead of out of the penis. Symptoms and signs of retrograde ejaculation include:
- Orgasm dry, one type of orgasm where very little or no semen came out of the penis
- Urine is cloudy after orgasm because it contains semen
- Infertility

Treatment
Retrograde ejaculation does not usually require treatment unless impaired fertility. In such cases, treatment depends on the cause. Drugs can work to reverse ejaculation is caused by certain conditions. The operation is not an option for the treatment of retrograde ejaculation.
